Project Triple Jump clinic (Oct. 6-9) rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew

by Steve Underwood

Update with new clinic dates

The NSAF regrets to announce the postponement of our October 6-9 Project Triple Jump Clinic at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  The postponement is due to the impact of Hurricane Matthew – not the impact on the Tampa/Bradenton area, but travel complications caused by the storm.  Our Head Coach Peter Pratt would have been unable to join us due to flight cancellations from Nassau, Bahamas. We have rescheduled this clinic for November 10-13, 2016.

We hope that those so inclined will join us in praying for the safety of Coach Pratt, his family and our NSAF/Project friends in The Bahamas, and all others endangered by this storm.

This clinic is open to all interested athletes and coaches, and you can register HERE. The cost is $295. All participants must complete and bring a signed copy of THIS WAIVER (pdf download).  Also, for those non-boarders who wish to eat on campus, the prices for meals “a la carte” are $11 for breakfast, $15 for lunch, and $19 for dinner.

We made our first trip to IMG last October and had a fantastic clinic, including great sessions with 2004 Olympic long jump Gold Medalist (and 4-time World Champ) Dwight Phillips and British Olympian Joice Maduaka -- in addition to the usual outstanding mentoring from Project Head Coach Peter Pratt and Project Coordinator Macka Jones. You can read about that clinic HERE.

The Project is fresh off its annual clinic in Nassau, Bahamas, which took place over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-4, which bridged the end of its 5th year (2015-16) and the beginning of the 6th. A mid-winter clinic is planned, as well.
