2020 Outdoor Nationals Entry Standards

NEW:

5/30 - Minimum standards eliminated for ALL 9th-grade/JHS events.
5/9-11 - Freshman qualifying marks added for Emerging Elite javelin.

 
4/28 - All-Star relay qualifying standards added for boys and girls.
Outdoor standards apply to both the 2019 Outdoor and 2020 Outdoor seasons (in other words, 2019 marks can be used to qualify for 2020).  Team composition for relay marks from the 2019 season MUST be identical to the team that ran the time.  Note that qualifying can also be done from the 2020 indoor season, with separate categories for those, below.
 
The NSAF reserves the right to change standards/field sizes as the conditions warrant. No entry once accepted will be rejected.

Note that field event standards are shown in meters/feet and inches.

All events have a maximum of 50 except where otherwise noted.

Relay entries will be accepted with marks from the 2019 outdoor and 2020 indoor seasons only where all four runners entered are the same as those who ran the qualifying time;

Given the uncertain nature of the track and field season at this time, we will not accept any payments at this time.  A final decision (pending US government recommendations) will be made in the late spring as to whether the Outdoor Nationals meet will be held on its new scheduled dates of July 16-19, 2020.  Once it is confirmed that the meet will indeed take place, entry fees will then be activated. You will be notified of due dates and changes as they arise. Notification will be via the email system in Athletic.net using the e mail address on your account.  It is important that you check the email address you have in the Athletic.net system to ensure that it is accurate.

* - All star lineups are permitted ONLY in the specific All-Star events. In Championship and Emerging Elite events, all athletes on a relay must be from the same school.

Relay legs

           
Relay performances from the 2019-2020 indoor season may not be used unless all four team members are running on relay entered.         
      
Composites will be accepted in 800 medley, 1600 medley, distance medley, Swedish medley and 4x1 mile ONLY.      
      
Under no circumstances will time trial, dual/tri/quad meet marks or relay splits be accepted for entry or seeding purposes; standards must be met in meets of 5 or more teams in individual races.       
         

Eligibility      
      
Full-time students in grades 7-12 who are eligible for their high school team (and/or any high school athlete) born SEPTEMBER 1, 2000 or later, and who have met the entry standards, are eligible to compete.  In addition, home-schooled athletes who meet the age and entry requirements are eligible to compete.  Specifically not eligible are athletes who have graduated from high school or those in their 5th year or later from the start of ninth grade.
