USA Javelin Project fall clinic set for Hoover AL, Nov. 13-14

by Steve Underwood

Registration is now open for the USA Javelin Project Fall Clinic, set for Nov. 13-14 at Hoover High School in Hoover, AL. The clinic is a fantastic opportunity for throwers of all ages and abilities to train with Coach Tom Pukstys and an incredible staff of aspiring 2021 Olympians.

Registration for the clinic is $150 and you can go to the event's page at AthleticNET to register.

Full Details of the clinic are on the NSAF Project Javelin Gold home page.

Coach Pukstys, also head coach of the NSAF's Project Javelin Gold, started the USA Javelin Project in 2019 to train and help support post-collegiate javelin throwers hoping to make Olympic, World Championship and other U.S. teams. Some of the throwers have trained with Project Javelin Gold while in high school.

Last November, Project Javelin Gold joined Coach Pukstys and his post-collegians at Hoover for the NSAF's fall clinic -- a fantastic venue and weekend for all involved.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the NSAF has not yet scheduled any Project Javelin Gold clinics for the 2020-21 season, but hopes to as soon as circumstances permit. Stay tuned for updates at the NSAF's Project Javelin Gold home page.
