Track & Field and Cross-Country Bulletin for Sep 25, 2013

Regular registration for the  Great American Cross Country Festival,  and the Robert Shumake HBCU Challenge is this Wednesday, September 25th.  Entries received after September 25th through September 29th will be assessed a $40 late fee in addition to the regular registration fee.  

September 29, 2013 is also the roster submission deadline date.

 

Get your entries in.  Its not just another meet - its a full blown Cross-country Festival.

We're opening our Project Triple Jump Clinics to all jumpers and coaches.  So mark your calendars for November 21-24 as we head to Dallas, Texas.   IAAF Level V Diploma Elite Coach for Horizontal Jumps, Peter Pratt, from the Bahamas will be our lead clinician.  Hotel information and  clinic schedule will be added to our Project Triple Jump website later this week.  Read more on the success of Project Triple Jump.

 


Calling all javelin throwers... Don't miss our Kultan Keihas Javelin Clinic slated for October 17-20 in Chapel Hill, NC.  Learn from the best:   Finland's National Coach, Kari Ihalaine, our javelin guru, Jeff Gorski and Olympic medliast, Bill Schmidt.  Registration is open.

 


The Cedric Walker Development Grants recipients have been selected and notified.  Two dozen high school programs will be receiving funds to help develop their programs.  Watch for an upcoming article by Steve Underwood profiling many of these programs. 

Applications are now open for the 2014 Tony Wells Development Grants.  Please read the grant requirements carefully before submitting your application and bear in mind that these are development grants and not travel grants.
