NSAF Select Meet Program - Each year the NSAF provides grants to a number of athletes competing at meets designated as NSAF Select Meets.  The goal is to increase the national competition level of the meets while providing support to athletes (teams and individuals) who might not otherwise be able to make the trip to these meets.  Three new meets have been added to the 2012-13 Select Meet Program Schedule including the NC Rullers Elite Holiday Invittional in Winston-Salem (Dec 28-29) and the 2012 Alumni Age Group Invittional,  at the CrossPlex, Birmingham, AL  Full Schedule.

Project Kultan Keihas (Javelin Gold)- the Winter clinic will be held in Chapel Hill December 27-30.  Led by Jeff Gorski, the clinic will feature special guest presenter Kimmo Kinnunen, the 1991 IAAF World Champion in the javelin and currently a Finnish National coach.  If you're serious about honing your javelin skills you don't want to miss this one.

The IAAF World Youth Championships will be held this summer in the Ukraine.  Jim Spier has created a comprehensive guide to the championships- everything you need or want to know, including athlete eligibility and how the US team is selected.  Check it out here.  And, a big congrats to Lisa Morgan (Columbia HS) and Lee Webb (James Logan HS) selected as Head Manager and Head Coach of the USA squad.  The remainder of the coaching staff will be announced sometime in March. See Lisa's reaction to her appointment here.

The Tony Wells Club/Team Development Grant - The NSAF extends grants to a number of eligible high school teams and clubs each year. We are pleased to honor our friend and legendary coach, Tony Wells of the Colorado Flyers by naming our team/club development grant program after him.  Information on the grants and application process is here.  The application deadline is January 15, 2013.
