Second Series of NSSF Performance Camps
Registration Deadline Approaching
This year marked the start of the NSSF's Performance Camp Series. We began with the javelin and triple jump- two events we felt our sport could most benefit from at the high school level. The goal of the Performance Camps is to identify emerging elite talent and provide them with the best available technical coaching to accelerate their development. In 2012 we intend to expand the series to include more events. We conclude this year with a second Javelin clinic and our Triple Jump Camp. Registration is open.
Part 2 of Project Klutan Keihas (Javelin Gold), our elite javelin camp series, is scheduled for December 27-30 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This session will be led by former USATF Javelin High Performance Chairperson, Jeff Gorski, and 1972 Olympic javelin bronze medalist, Bill Schmidt.
The first session of Project Kultan Keihas held in October was a tremendous success as it made true on its intent to provide a level of understanding and education about javelin technique and training never before available to high school athletes in the US.

This is the NSSF’s second camp in our elite Performance Development Series. We’ve enlisted the legendary coaching and teaching skills of renown Bahamian coach, Peter Pratt. Pratt is an IAAF level V Diploma Elite Coach for Horizontal Jumps who has consistently turned out champions at all levels of the sport. His success has created a hot demand for his expertise as both a coach and speaker and we’re very fortunate to have him. He was also an NCAA Champion and is the current Bahamian National Coach.
The Triple Jump Camp will be held in Nassau, Bahamas December 27-29th and is open to high school athletes and coaches at all levels. State of the art coaching and training will be available as well as opportunities for observation and interaction with the coaching staff.
The registration deadline is December 22nd. Beeline Travel is the official travel agent for the camp and they can assist you with both travel and hotel accommodations in Nassau.
