Introducing the Virtual Great American XC Festival: Registration is open!
GAXC is going virtual this year … and we invite YOU to join us!
The 2020 Virtual Great American Cross Country Festival will be contested from Friday, October 16 through Monday, October 26 and registration has opened this week for the event which will include divisions for high school boys & girls teams and individuals (5k), as well as youth/middle school boys & girls (3k) and open/community men & women (5k).

“We share our community’s frustration of a lost track & field season in 2020 and (for many) a lost or postponed cross-country season,” said NSAF Executive Director Jim Spier. “Since we can’t host the meet in Cary (N.C.) next month, we are bringing the Virtual GAXC Festival to any runner in the country who wishes to compete. We invite all runners, whether or not they are having an actual XC season this fall, to join us for this event.”
The NSAF has partnered with Nike, Jawku Speed, RelayBatons.com and Roll Recovery for some outstanding and unprecedented awards.
The winning high school boys and girls teams will get five custom GAXC Nike backpacks PLUS a Jawku V2 Muscle Blaster for the team ($350 value). The runner-up teams will win five custom 36oz. RTIC double-walled water bottles, courtesy of Relaybatons.com ($45 value each), and the 3rd-place teams will receive five R3 foot rollers, courtesy of Roll Recovery ($30 value each).
Meanwhile, the individual champions of all six divisions (boys & girls HS, MS/Youth, Open/Community) will also win custom Nike GAXC backpacks, RTIC double walled water bottles and R3 foot rollers. Then custom Nike GAXC drawstring bags will be awarded to 2nd-10th places in the two HS divisions and 2nd-3rd place in the MS/Youth & Open/Community divisions.
Registration for the Virtual GAXC Festival is $25, which includes a commemorative long-sleeve tee, puts you in the running for top finisher awards and earns you promotional codes to unlock discounted items. Registrants can also purchase commemorative short sleeve t-shirts and participant medals.

In the weeks ahead, we'll also be celebrating the 17 years (2003-2020) the GAXC has been owned and operated by the NSAF by recognizing the top individuals and teams from each state that have competed in the meet.
