Kultan Keihaus Goes to Finland
The NSSF’s Project Kulten Keihaus (Javelin Gold) is sponsoring six elite athletes to the IAAF Training center in Kuortane, Finland in August, 2012. Included are Haley Crouser, Avione Allgood, Christine Streusel, Sean Keller, Jonathan Strauss and Kyle Felpel. The group will depart the U.S. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, and return on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
The two Kultan Keihaus clinics held last October and December as part of the NSSF's Performance Camp series were extremely successful and the goal of the training in Finland is expose our athletes to Finnish coaching and training methods. The Finns have been the most successful country historically at the Olympic Games and at the World Championships.
